What a shame and I sure hope the little gal makes a full recovery. I just think if your going to keep it loaded at home with little kids keep it up where they can't get to it. My grand daughter is 3 and it sure makes me think.

There might end up being more to that story. Consider that 60% of children under 12 who are murdered were killed by a parent.
If this was a self-inflicted accident of some sort, as the story implies, at least those have shown recent declines.

Headline should read "Idiot parents fail to protect child". Sad. And of course they're going to blame the gun manufacturer for it for not having enough locks on it.

My gun stays on top of my safe when I'm home. As soon as my grandkids come over or if I know they are coming over in advance, it immediately gets locked up. I take no chances.

My heart go's to the little girl, who's parents were to irresponsible to protect her from themselves.....I to have a three year old....so sad.
