Crossbreed Supertuck type holster, Dangerous?

In my search for a carrying holster I've heard alot of praise of the type of holster in question and specifically the Model Supertuck by Crossbreed. I was quite set on ordering one once i purchase my gun, however i just realized something, the gun seems to be held in place by a "snug fit" theres nothing stopping the gun from falling out of the holster if you get banged into real hard at the right angle, or so it seems. What about someone running up and grabbing for your gun, it would be a simple thing if youre not expecting it or trained to defend it, especially because the gun can simply be slid out of place. Theres not even a clip, strap, lock, or whatever you want, its just not there? What are your thoughts on this and have you had any personal experiences where this type oh holster failed your concealment? This is an important issue about responsibility to me so i would really appreciate the input! thanks in advance folks!!

The concealment is what the "retention" device is.
I was wearing mine with my xd45 one night while I was playing my guitar on a plastic beach chair, on the beach one night. Well, I got a little bit too excited with a song ending lick, and one of the chair legs sunk into the sand, sending me @$$ over teakettle. The xd stayed put.

There are instructions that come with the holster that explains exactly what to do to increase the tension of the gun or to lighten the tension. Just get it, wear it for a week or two, then either send it back or wear it like I do 13-16 hours every day.

I have never used a crossbreed, but I have 2 IWB holsters that are like that. There should be tension screws with them. Mine have never let me down. I use the Desantis Cozy Partner if you want to check them out. Very quality holsters.

The Crossbreed QuickClip is my most used holster. Loosing the weapon out of it is never a concern. They come with a 2 week trial period. After 2 weeks if it isn't what you expect you can return for a full refund. They also have a lifetime guarantee should something fail on them. Just return to Crossbreed for a repair.

It's no different than any other holster. Someone can yank your shirt up and grab your gun. That's true for even for holsters with thumb breaks.

Yup. My holster has retention screws and I wouldnt want it any other way. It comes out when I want it to but I can hold it upside down and shake it a couple of times and it wont come out.

as LKB3RD said above if your concealing it properly then theoreticly there is no gun for the bg to take. as far as retention even the cheap uncle mikes IWB holster I have retains my xd just fine I've done cart wheels jumping jacks all sorts of stuff to see if I could get the gun to fall out it didn't so I have no doubt the crossbreed supertuck would work perectly fine. It will be the holster I buy when I get the money.

I can only speak from experience. Mine holds an XD45 Tactical.....the heaviest XD that there is when fully loaded. I don't see it as an issue. The 'fit' that came from the manufacturer was what I have viewed as ideal. My pistol slides smoothly in and out of it without allowing my belt to collapse the holster and impede reinsertion of the pistol. I have worn it all day, from the time of getting ready in the morning to taking it out in the evening. It is amazingly comfortable, I feel my pistol is secure and under two layers of clothing, the outer shirt tucked in between the belt and the holster, the pistol has not even shifted.

My next task will be to practice quick access and sight acquisitions from a tucked shirt position, and my initial test was faster than I expected. So I only expect faster as I get more acquainted.

In my opinion, it's an outstanding product (no I am not being compensated for my views) and if I had a 1911 that would be mine long term, I'd be purchasing one for it as well.
