Just wondering what you would do in this situation??

I was walking down the sidewalk in my neighborhood with 2 of my children.
We rounded the corner and saw 2 what i would describe as thugs walking towards us. So I tell my kids to make sure and stay to the right when passing them. When my kids reach them, they just stay side by side and make my kids go all the way off the sidewalk and onto the grass to get around them. I am only maybe 5 feet behind my kids at this point.

So my question is would you say anything?? If so, WHAT??

That shouldn't matter, you shouldn't suddenly "Grow a Pair" since your carrying a gun. I wouldn't have said anything. Not because I'm a pus, but because you shouldn't escalate any situation. You should only defend. And thats exactly what they would say in court.

Some people are just douche bags, but no one was really harmed out of it, so just go about your business, and keep your children safe.

What would be the point of doing anything but walking on by? Did they attempt to harm the kids? Did they try anything with you? There are two of them, one of you. Are they armed? Would you want you kids see you get shot in front of them?

Sometimes it is better to just keep walking.

as annoying as that is I would just leave it alone especially with your children there. Its kinda hard to watch for your kids safety and possibly deal with an altercation at the same time. So unless its something big dont sweat it.

I am no chicken $hit but what is saying anything going to do other than get yourself in a bad situation? Do you really think saying anything to them is going to suddenly make them realize they were being asses? I doubt it. Since your kids were with you, I wouldn't say anything. Do you want them seeing you possibly get in a pushing and/or shouting and cussing match with these guys? I don't think you do.

I am all for putting a-holes like this in their place and I often have a hard time not running my mouth, but you have to weigh the consequences. YMMV.

ETA: Now if they pushed your kids off the sidewalk, then it's on like donkey kong, beeottcch!
