"Rap Culture"!!! Oxymoronic! Neither my progeny nor I speak in the vernacular of uncivilized tribal savages.

Don't know man. All of my local stations play a bunch of garbage. Both rap and Alternative/Rock stations. I only use it to listen to morning and afternoon shows that's about it.

Thank God for my iPod's.

Culture

I used to work for a local Rent-A-Center a while back and this mindset was obvious on a daily basis. We delivered 60' TVs to houses that you could see daylight coming through holes in the corners of the ceiling where water rotted everything. No lie. I went to a trailer that had a tree limb growing through the window and there was a bug zapper hanging in the middle of the living room!!!!!!, but they were watching one big damn TV. One other thing I haven't seen brought up is the damn stickers/tags left on everything. Especially hats.....have to have one that matches every outfit, leave the bill flat as hell and stickers all over it ?!? The reason they are still opressed even though they have Escalades are the priorities I listed above. They live ....I mean STAY....in the $h!tholes I described but have to have 50 different color hats at $25 each, $3000 rims and tires on a $1000 car with $6000 stereo systems, 50 pairs of shoes to match the 50 hats at $150 a pair........need I go on?

Some people seem to like to live beyond their means. I agree 100%. Many people if they won the lottery would buy a car before they bought a house. Why would you buy an Escalade when you live in project housing. By something that will appreciate. If I live in a crack house, a big screen TV is last on my list of priorities.

I don't use any of those type of terms. The only rap songs I have ever not disliked are the fresh prince intro song and the song in Die Hard that the limo driver was listening to, I think it was about Santa Claus getting his wallet stolen or something
