Predictable (purposely) April Fools Joke I played on my girlfriend

So,

My girlfriend and I have been looking for a house recently. All of this talk about how much its going to cost us has both of us being very budget conscious. The thought of spending a grand or two between paychecks like I used to is no longer an option if we are going to be buying a house. Well, I figured I might use this as the grounds for my April Fools Joke.

me: we need to pay rent but i kinda need a small favorJaime: what's up

me: can you pay it till i get my paycheck ?

Jaime: uh, how long is that

me: i dunno

Jaime: i only have about 1200

me: maybe a week or so let me check... i get paid the 11th
Jaime: um, not really

Jaime: you dont have any money?

me: i can take it out my savings then, no biggie

Jaime: sorry i have other bills due this week

me: its okay. i just spent a lot in the last few days. i wasnt really thinknig about the rent, i guess,heh

Jaime: what the hell you buying?

me: nothing

Jaime: hmf

Jaime: so the april fool's thing only applied to me but not you eh?

me: lol, oh well. i had you going for a bit though

Jaime: ha not really

Her mention of the "april fool's thing" was about what I told her last ngiht before I went to bed. I mentioned to her that I knew tomorrow was April 1st and that she could try but she wouldn't be getting me

So, of course, I eventually knew she would figure it out the more and more extreme I got. I guess when she saw both the Ak and the Ar she knew I was lying at that point. Oh well, all in good fun.

I told my secretary (who is going through divorce) that the owner disclosed his plans to close our doors in 6 months. I told her with all the increasing costs, new vehicles and equipment needing purchased and all that he was just going to go ahead and retire now.

She sunk into her chair and said, "oh, he didnt tell me that yet."
I then replied, "well, it IS April fools day too."

Lucky for me, she is 4'11 and likes me, otherwise I may have gotten an asswhooping!

This was last year, but I got the CIO at my company good. He rides a Harley Road King deluxe blah blah blah. Anyways, I give him a lot of crap about it, and how it leaks oil and how it's not reliable as my tea burning Triumph. Anyways, I went and found a recall notice for some other Harley and made some adjustments to it, stating that the "gas tank pressure release valve" were known to be bad and to not even start the bike up due to it potentially blowing up...as it happened, he rode in that day as well so things got even better.

I photoshopped up a local Harely dealers coversheet stating that all Road King owners would have to get the bike towed to their local shop and faxed it from my fax to the receptionist's fax. She was in on the whole thing, and walked it over to him. He came down and couldn't believe it, saying it's started up fine and whatnot all the time. I told him that something like the "pressure release valve" is a serious thing and I wouldn't even touch the bike because it could blow up, which would suck. I stopped him just as he was calling a tow truck.

I thought it was hilarious...he didn't find it so funny

We just did a few minor things to the boss' desk. Switching half the keys around on his keyboard (he is a notoriously bad typist) and taping his phone button down (the one that the handset rests on, so he can't answer the phone). A couple other little things, designed so he discovers them throughout the day.

A few years ago I had a friend call my roommate while she was at work. He told her I had an accident on my motorcycle and that I was in the hospital. After he got off the phone with her, he called me and I then walked into work.(same place)

nothing big, but i hid my coworkers leather chair and switched it with a POS one. i also turned his ringer up to damn near 300% and since were on an inbound que, he wont hear it till after he finds his chair lol

well last year my girlfriend (now ex) called me and said she just took a pregnancy test and it said she is pregnant well i handled it really well i just told her that i will call and make a dr apointment just to make sure and then we will go from there. i didnt freak out i was very calm. even though i had no clue it was april fools day. well we got off the phone and she called right back and said it was a joke. she was a damn good actress i had no clue she was jokeing.

it worked out really good for me though since i played it very cool so i looked like a really good guy (even though i was freaking out on the inside)
