If it's legal in your area to Open Carry, do you?

Just wondering how many of you open carry (where legal) on a regular basis? I'm not talking about concealed carry and somebody "busts" you, just regular, out in the open, holster on the belt style.

It is legal here, but I don't do it as I think it would draw too much attention. I've never seen anyone do it, but when I had my CCW class the instructor said there was one guy who frequently visited his shop and would open carry. He was always being asked to leave stores and such.

It is legal here and I have done so on several occasions, all without incident!

Legal here in PA but I think that it would draw too much unwanted attention. I have also been told that even though it is legal the local Police will give you a hard time and try and find a reason to harass you.

I do not agree with that at all but I do not want to be the target of some over zealous cop either. Plus I don't feel that anyone needs to know that I am carrying in the first place. The only people who know are my wife and son. I go to my mothers and sisters houses all the time and they have no idea.

My sister is one of those no guns in my house b/c someone will get hurt kind of person. Oneday I will let her know I have been carrying in her house undetected for years and look no one has even noticed let alone gotten hurt. She gets so mad b/c I have started taking my brother in-law to the range with me. He had never shot a gun before and really likes it. He'll never buy a gun though b/c my sister keeps his balls locked up at home with her. Sometimes I wonder how we came from the same womb! Not everyone can see the light though!

nope...i think of it like poker rules...don't reveal your hand until you have to, and muck the losers, no sense in giving people more info than they need.

As mentioned above, it's legal here in PA. I've done it many times, and the only "issue" I've had was 1 time, being asked by a store employee to conceal it. Plenty of others OC around PA as well. It's not nearly as common as concealed carry, but the numbers of open carriers in PA seems to be growing.

It's legal here, but I haven't, and I probably won't. I don't feel like getting arrested and having it worked out because the cop was ignorant of the laws.

It's legal here for GFL (CCW) holders but I don't because the state is pretty restrictive on where specifically you are allowed to carry. Around the Metro ATL area I don't OC because of the unwanted attention. I just keep it concealed. We have a Cabin and some land in rural North GA and I always OC there. When seconds count the County Sheriff is about 30 minutes away there.

Legal here, not uncommon, and yes I do it. Some parts of the state are more anal about it lately, such as the Billings and Missoula area. You can also conceal here, without a permit, if it is part of your work, such as a ranch hand. A woman can carry in her purse without a permit as well as it is considered "luggage". Yes, that information is from the state AG.
