im not sure if its legal in Texas or not, but I live in teh middle of nowhere and when i get home from town, alot of the time i'll strap it to my belt for easy access just in case i am in need.
When i'm burning brush piles (usually after dark) i'll have it on my belt.
and when i'm out working fences at the family land; out in then...in case zobie or snakes attack..

Yes, it is (at least outside the city limits) and no I don't. For some reason I don't want people to know that I am armed...

YouTube - Resturant Carry in Northern Virginia on Fox 5 News at 10

The more people that do it, more people realize that there are other people that have guns than bad guys and cops.

Here in Salt Lake City we are having a reporter up from the LA Times doing a story on OC laws (several local press people are attending as well). We are having a big OC meet at a restaurant , should be lots of OCers there. This will be my first time OCing and I am looking forward to it.

On your own land your good to go but OC is specifically illegal in Texas. Concealed only.

Now there is a group pushing for legalized open carry but they are just starting out and it's going to be a long road. Other larger gun rights org. in Texas say that OC is on their list of things to get to but they feel that they have larger concerns with state CC that they want to work though first.

Welcome to the new TXCDL

Honestly in states such as Texas where CC is only allowed right now I think it may be a good idea to first get our foots in the door with OC with a permit and then work our way to OC with no permit.
