With the 4 full size doors, it gives me room to take customers out {or just the family} but I can still deliver to our customers as needed. On this, I am averaging 15.3mpg....not bad for a full sized 4x4.

A buddy has a new Ram1500 quadcab with an 8' bed, but 2wd and he pushes 18-19 mpg on average. I like his truck, but prefer the Ford, esp on the inside.

i will admit. ford's interior is second to non, but the ride isnt as smooth. my dodge was smoother(on and off road) than my buddies f-150. he later bought a f-250, then a ram 2500. the ram was smoother than the ford, but damn that interior was nice on the ford!

dude, just get a Tacoma with the TRD and locking diff(might as well get the 4x4 if you can) make sure you get the v-6, preferably a manual, and be done. you will not be disappointed.

i was involved in all these tests and videos. dodge was not included, because ford made the tests, and dodge poses a threat to fords.
i also did similar testing between 3 of the 4 big truck companies when i worked for Roush(all but chevy) and the toyota sucked. big trucks-dodge,ford, chevy, yota. in that order.
small trucks, toyota, dode, ford and chevy have a tie. in that order.
YouTube - Ford F150 vs Toyota Tundra - Frame Strength

YouTube - Silverado vs. Tundra Twist Ditch
YouTube - Ford F150 vs Chevy vs Toyota - Bolt Size
Go tell it on the mountain Brother.

I've been preaching that the new Tundra is a steaming pile of poo.
Let's not forget the cam snapping issue, the tailgate sheet metal separation issue, Transmission failures on brand new trucks.

If fuel economy is a concern, no doubt, get a Chevy with the 5.3L v8. Also, Chevy will be the smoothest ride of the Big Trucks. I don't know about the mini trucks.

I would buy another Chevy in a heartbeat, but I would also buy a Ford. Ford makes an awesome truck and my choice this time was purely on price. (have an 06 Chevy Silverado 4-door LT)
After these 2 mfgs I would have to get a deal of a lifetime to buy a Dodge/Tundra/Titan
Dodge is just plain, the interior is the worst of the bunch. The transmission issues of the past still influence my judgements on them. Tundra (as listed above) suck, The Titan is an OK truck now that they put a real rear diff on them. I still don't like the looks of the front end that much.

My wife just bought me a 2006 Ford Supercrew for my birthday.

Rides nice and the four doors are great.
