Check this site out. A word of warning, you don't want to take the mag release out it's a bear to put back. The grip safety can also be tricky.
Springfield Armory XD and HS2000.com

Here's a post to a nice trick for the grip safety. Look for the post by Htown stunna.

In the past week I learned how to strip it all but the grip safety and the mag release.... I won't be messing with those any time soon. Take the time to learn, it's really not that hard.

Does anyone know if the sear has to be removed before the grip safety can come out?

Nope you don't have to remove it. Just a bit of warning he grip safety can be a bear to put back on. Make sure you look at the post by Htown when you ready to put it back on.

I tried pushing the grip safety pin out, but it felt like I was tapping too hard, and it wasn't coming out. Anything I need to know?
