You can place a metal (or even hardwood) bar in the track. You can also drill a small hole in the metal portion of the door near the existing lock and another hole in the metal frame; slide a metal pin in the hole when the door is closed. Also make sure it wasn't originally installed backwards... it happens, and as a result can be lifted right off the track.

To secure a sliding door from being lifted or rocked off of its track pre-drill and screw a deck screw into the top header rail of the slider door frame approximately four inches in. Leave the screw protruding out far enough to let the door slide past it. This will eliminate the gap.

Your right. Try this.

Door casings, door security, door frame repair, home security, home security doors, fix a kicked in door

How much does a StrikeMaster II cost? $109.98 plus shipping/handling. However, right now we are running a special of $89.95 each if you buy 2 or more. This special is for a limited time! They also make great gifts!

Welcome to the Home of StrikeMaster II
