I started reading the story about Michigan's 6th year as a right to carry state in the NRA magazine Americas 1st Freedom (April 200

. It made me proud to be a new CPL carrier in Michigan. I did not finish the article yet but I will definitely use this info next time some one asks why I carry. It looks like a lot of crimes have decreased since the law was passed. I am sure the stats are skewed a bit coming from the NRA but it seems like there were some good outside sources too. I really loved one of the lines from an anti "-she adds, even if the statistics prove correct, there are still more guns in Michigan homes and on the streets, in her opinion offering the potential for increased violence some day in the future". That is just golden to me. Maybe we should not drive or fly because there is potential of crashing. Any way it is a good article and I am proud to be included in the 155,000+ here in MI with my CPL.

Good for you and glad it's working out the way it would in most cases. I have trouble seeing how people think crime would pick up if everyone carried? Who do they think the BG's would like to rob, the person with out a gun or all those people out there with protection..It's very hard to figure how some think.
