WaMu couldn't add up my checks and even after admitting fault said it was out of their power (at the 800 number) to fix and couldn't connect me to someone with the power. Took me 2 months to fix and they killed my credit report (which they still won't fix).
Wells fargo has been good to me except for the $5.00 monthy fee I wasn't payin before. I've even had to deal with them to fix bad charges on my ATM card twice with good results both times.

I had 1 bad experience with them, like 1 or 2 weeks after I opened my account. I deposited $100 cash in the ATM and they claimed I deposited a blank envolope. Long story short the branch manager took care of it politely and promptly. I was ready to pitch a fit but he was calming so I let him do his thing and it was resolved nicely.

i have never banked wit them but over all i find WaMU to be the nicest to do business usbank has F'ed me a time or two but wells fargo also did once (i didnt have an account for long)

well i got a paycheck and the companys account was with wells fargo so thats why i went with them. well i go to cash my check.(keep in mind that the checking account it was written from was wells fargo and that branch is who they used) well i cashed it and got 50 cash and put the rest in. well i ended up using that $50 for gas so the next day i went back to get more money out and they wouldnt let me. they said i had to wait 3 business days ( this was a friday night it happened on so they said i could take it out on wednsday.)

but what i dont get is why could i get the cash the day i cashed it and not the day after? they knew the check cleared or they wouldnt have givin me the $50 and they said i could have gotten all the cash the day before but not today. well it really put me in a bind not having any more gas money or food or bills. and i needed to drive about 4 hours a day for my job so that full talk didnt to last long. well i had to borrow some money from my GF at the time and on wendsday i went in got my cash and closed my account and just payed the $5 to cash my check at WINCO (a grocery store)

My wife and I were with BofA many years ago and after the 3rd time of their screw up ($400 they wouldn't reimburse), we went to Security Pacific. Had absolutely no problem with them, but everyone knows what happened: BofA bought them out.

Not only did we leave them, many of the former employees of SP left them tho they still worked for BofA.

We have belonged to United California Bank for about 20yrs or so and don't have any problems. It is owned by a Japanese company, but oh well.

I've been a credit union person on and off since 1977. Customer service is ALWAYS better at a credit union.

BofA is a huge bank with the feel of an extemely huge bank. Just remember, "We're BofA and you're not." They don't give a flying fornication if you stay or go.
