Question Got Gun Cash. Next Firearm to Purchase?

Looking for ideas here guys. Sold a couple firearms which give me some "gun cash". I need to spend that on a firearm(s) or the wife will get bent out of shape if I later spend non-gun cash. I have around $1200 or so give or take a couple hundred and trying to decide how to spend it. Yea life it tough eh? I shoot 9mm and carry/shoot .45. I usually carry an XD .45 Service. Thinking of a few things; Glock 21SF, Kimber 1911, Sig 556. I'd like to consider something to shoot IDPA (currently use Glock19) in 9mm or a nice .45 for carry. Don't care much about firearms to sit on a shelf looking pretty. I'm more of a practical guy. Anyway as kind of a fun thread let me know what you'd recommend or FIREARM(s) that you'd consider.

Kimber makes a nice firearm.

Of the ones you listed, i hate glocks, they feel like a brick...Kimber is a great firearm, as is the sig. in 9mm/45 area, i know i've always wanted one of the SA 1911 GI models in OD, but thats just me...

Hey try out the Springfield EMP 1911 in 9mm. Its a very good shooter and reliable mabey not a big capacity but even in the long run if you find you dont like it the way these things are selln you'd get most of that money back on a sale or trade, they also make the EMP in .45acp its a bit pricey but very easy to conceal. Just a thought I've wanted one sice they came out.

Get as many Hi-Points as you can, then take them to a gun by back and make some $ on them!

I personally would get a Kimber 1911

I have/carry a EMP, and I love mine. I shoot better with that than most of my pistols.

They do not make it in 45ACP, that is just a 3" custom, not the EMP

They are coming out in a 40S&W though.

With those bucks I'd buy a few Saiga 12 guage shotguns and several extra 10 rd magazines. After the next election I'll bet the supply of these excellent shotguns dries up fast.

Yea I've kinda had my sights set on this 1911. I can get it new for $744 and with S&W's $100 rebate, that's a pretty sweat deal.
