Angry OK, I've had it w/ this place! I'm so outta here!!!

It's 5:00pm everyone, time to head home!
(it felt like a 3 hour wait from 4:00pm to now...)

Anyone have any interesting/fun plans for the weekend?

I'm going on a wine tasting tour tomorrow, and then Sunday will be spent "chilling" at home w/ the fiancee.

Later everyone! Take care!!

I've been home most the week with the flu... things suck for me right now.... course I can lay around drinking and moaning and the wife can't decide if it's from being sick or being drunk so she's nice to me anyways... so I guess things aren't all that bad.

Dodged a MAJOR BULLET for this weekend! Seems my wife (God Love Her!!!) took 3 MONTHS to decide on what color floor she wanted to have me put down to replace an existing beat wood floor in the family room (3 kids growing up and 2 dogs sure takes a toll!). We finally found "something she could live with" at a cost of several hundred dollars. Bought this stuff and lugged it home/out of the SUV and into the house. Started Sunday two weeks ago and finished it Monday afternoon (went to court that evening sore as HE*L!!).

By Tuesday, the flooring has started to lift (ever so slightly) at the seams. Contacted the manufacturer and got their recommended 'fix' which involved heating the areas that were lifting and roll the floor with a 150 lb roller (YEAH, RIGHT!!!). Tried a few alternatives (how in the name of God do you heat a 350 sq ft floor!?!, and where was I supposed to get a 150 lb roller!?!) but nothing worked. By Friday of this week, the floor looked like something seen on a sunken wreck, all lifting over about 60% of the area.

Called them back, got them to give me a credit, went to Home Depot (where I purchased the flooring) and they refunded me the full purchase price. Now I'm looking at flooring again and dreading spending the weekend on my knees, laying a new floor over my new floor!

Took the wife out tonight so she could see the various flooring available (since she had the cash to spend yet again!). She couldn't make up her mind on flooring and she decided we should wait (YES!!!!) until something went on sale or she could figure out what she wanted.

I figure I now have several months of misdirecting her from store to store - while I try to figure out a way to salvage the mess in the family room and keep the money in the bank (and I don't have to put in ANOTHER FLOOR!!!!).

Life is good!

Yep tomfoolery, just fire up 300, grab a coke, and watch the Blizzard of 08.

That's my plan more or less...though Stargate Atlantis figures prominently in mine.
