Computer Problem
My wife downloaded a bunch of childs games for my little girls today. When I got home all the icons on the desktop are HUGE. The screen looks weird! I uninstalled all of the games but the desk top is still the same. Can someone tell me how to fix this?? Please!!

Go to your display properties and lower your resolution. It seems as if the games changed to a lower resolution for compatibility issues!

Try right-clicking on the desktop and selecting Properties. From there, hit the Appearance tab and check to make sure nothing is set to Large or Extra Large. Also check the screen resolution under the settings tab (some games may change the screen resolution to fit its format?). Hope this helps!

yeah alot of older games will change the display to 800 x 600 you probably are (were ) running at least 1024 x 768 or higher so the higher you set your resolution, the smaller things will look on your screen

The problem is the games usually run in a lower resolution mode then your screen is running. When you run the games it messes with the video settings going from one setting to the other and confuses the computer. Is it a laptop or desktop? LCD or CRT monitor?
Yeah those other guys said about the same thing I did. lol I was just a little late refreshing my screen... My laptop does that when my daughter plays certain games. It will drive you crazy..

apparently the child's games don't play well w/ others, and put your video settings BACK to what they were before running themselves...
Grrrr..... I hate when that happens. It's like Windows for the Visually Impaired.

Yeah allot of them do that nowadays to be compatible with most computers and displays.
I've run into it a few times with our kids doing that. One issue is that you must have a good antivirus as some come packaged with nasty stuff under the cover of a game.
