yup,

in the opinion of just about anyone you talk to, that clause is "unconstitutionally vague". I think the deal was struck so that the OSP who didn't want it to pass anyway had a way to charge people, but the supporters realized the concealed weapon charge could never hold up unless there was a deliberate attempt at concealment.

I am the one who had the cop tell him he'd be happy when we can keep them covered.

Heck, last week on the bike, I had the tactical in my DOH holster and 3 mag pouches on my belt and rode down to the range w/ no jacket on. Was doing about 10mph over the limit, looked in my rearview and a cop was running up on me pretty quick. he got behind, followed me about 1/2 mile (still at 10 over) then changed lanes, rolled up next to me glanced at the gun, nodded and drove on by.

Who knows, maybe it's a good thing, cops thinking you are a responsible enough person to let you slide on a few things.

+1 On the holster with velcro and elastic. I just used a pancake that I didn't like and made a belt out of elastic to go around my leg. It takes just a few seconds, and doesn't dig at me or bother me on long trips. (My dad lives in Toledo. 3 hours of a holster being jammed in your side kinda sucks.)

I have had a few strange looks from drivers when they are high enough to see in the window on the Mustang though. In the truck only the big rigs could see in. I have a center console in the truck and Mustang that blocks the gun when in the OWB holster. Plus if I actually needed it when I am in the vehicle it is hard to draw stuck to the center console. (I'm 6'3" 280 lbs, I use allot of seat.)

In the velcro and elastic holster it's a very simple draw. Drop the hand from the wheel and it hits the holster and out.
