why is the news soooo anti-gun

man it really grinds my gears that the news is just so anti-gun, i was watching the nightly news after work today and there was a news story of how some 80 year old guy died in his house and he was a avid firearms collect so apparently he had 500 plus fire arms, however the news never ever refers to the fact that this elderly man had firearms he had weapons and how awful it was that this man collected so many weapons, I cant stand how everytime there is a story involving a firearm the news calls them weapons and alludes that law-abiding citizens are some how shaddy or doing something illegal. ok rank over

yeah, a few of his sons are firearms collectors as well.

what the news was trying to 'get at' was to scare people into thinking all these 500 guns were going to be sold at a yard sale or something.

maybe requiring a safe handling demonstration before sale of a firearm is a good idea:

I think people are afraid of what is unfamiliar to them. If they didn't grow up in a gun-accepting culture (family, neighborhood, etc) they're not likely to be gun-accepting themselves.
