The stench of Barack Obama's reality is permeating the political arena, with the recently revealed truth of how he and his wife actually feel about the country he aspires to lead. Michelle Obama told a Milwaukee rally, "What we have learned over the past year is that hope is making a comeback. And let me tell you something – for the first time in my adult lifetime, I am really proud of my country. And not just because Barack has done well, but because I think people are hungry for change. And I have been desperate to see our country moving in that direction and just not feeling so alone in my frustration and disappointment." Hers was a chilling statement and telling look into the mindset of the woman who may soon become the first lady of this nation. Was she not proud of the way individuals in "her" country pulled together from every walk of life to help those ravaged by Hurricane Katrina? Are we to believe that Feb. 18, 2008, was the first time in her entire adult life she could be proud of America? Was she not proud of the medical advancements made by American pharmaceutical companies that saved lives and/or contributed to the quality of life for tens of millions worldwide? Are we to believe that she has been ashamed of the country that made it possible for her to attend Princeton University and obtain a law degree from Harvard, empowering the success of her adult life? Is she ashamed of the country in which the poorest and most unlikely are able to achieve the greatest of accomplishments and ascend the greatest of heights? Is she ashamed of the country in which many argue there is systematic racism – yet literally, every day so-called minorities of every description, from every walk of life, achieve fame and fortune? Those things being said – that which Mrs. Obama should be ashamed of is her husband's enthusiastic support of those committed to the systematic annihilation of blacks and the poor vis-à-vis the daily mass murdering of their unborn children. I, for one, could accept her lament of shame if it were directed at the minister of her church, who views the devastation of 9/11 as the result of the "great white West … ignoring black concerns." Had she lamented the actions of her minister when he praised Louis Farrakhan as one that "truly epitomizes greatness," or if she had lamented the fact that one of her husband's campaign offices in Texas, that was staffed by Hispanics who prominently displayed the Cuban flag and pictures of rogue infidel Che Guevara, perhaps we could have felt her pain. But instead, the potential first lady openly, proudly and completely unsolicitedly, proclaimed her contempt for America. She said that she was now proud because the people wanted change. My question remains: What change could the people possibly want that suddenly, after so many years of shouldering such great shame, brought joy into her life? I find it reprehensible that those like herself and her husband, being devoid of credible positions, are able only to blame America and castigate its citizens. And that is exactly what Michelle Obama did – with one sentence, she attacked every American, regardless of party affiliation when she uttered those profane words. Americans need to reject those who have ascended the greatest of heights, aspiring even greater still, who then in turn berate the country and citizens that made it possible. Many Americans contribute to the Obamas' extravagant lifestyle. From those who clean their floors to those who sweep their sidewalks. Her comment reveals ingratitude and were an insult to millions of hardworking Americans and legal immigrants who appreciate the freedom and opportunity America offers. This country has made it possible for Michelle Obama to enjoy every privilege she and her family enjoy. Compared to the eloquent grace of Jackie Kennedy, Nancy Reagan, Barbara Bush and yes, even Rosalind Carter, she portrays herself as just another angry black harridan who spits in the face of the nation that made her rich, famous and prestigious. The dichotomy and depth of loathing is stunning. Obviously such a villainous heterodoxy that is punctuated by a baneful contempt for those who toiled, sacrificed and in many instances gave their lives to ensure an America in which all who wanted and all who were willing would have the promise of opportunity to achieve their dreams resonates well with the societal elites and those who live to hate. But it doesn't resonate for those of us who are proud of our country and proud of its heritage. FYI This kinda touches me heart, but in the wrong way. Ed

Do you want them to work for free? Do you work for free? What does pharmacies have to do with obama or racial stuff?

Your statement sounds like a broken record of that infomercial guy Kevin Trudeau. You could always start a "real pharmaceutical company" and do real good if it’s as easy as you say it is. You should be a huge success. I personally would pay more for a cure than a pill. What disease are you going to cure first?

By the way the greedy pharmaceutical companies cure many more times the diseased than government run facilities. Most of the drugs and cures we have today are result of private industry.

To me, I don't like either her or her husband. But at the end of the day, he is running for president...not Michelle. So her words mean nothing to me because I hold no value in her opinion.
