I work on Ch-53 engines (T64-ge-416/A) and I've been stuck on New River for my whole contract. Haven't even been deployed. Had other guys get deployed multiple times and I'm begging to get deployed and never go anywhere

You know Kawasaki is making those for civilians now? They have to be special ordered though. Is your wife per chance on Al Asad AB?

Kawasaki was never the manuf. of the Diesel M1030s they simply provided the frames to Hayes Diversified Technology and they did the rest of the work. They still aren't available for civilian purchase as the company says they are running full out trying to keep up with orders for various Military branches. http://www.hdtusa.com/military.htm HDT - Hayes Diversified Technologies - Motorcycle models Even when or if they come out rumor has it that they will be close to 16 grand a pop.

It will be interesting if it really happens but I'm not willing to pay that kind of money for one.
Getting just the engine to replace a blown out one would be nice though again depending on the price. From what I've been able to gather tonight F1 is contracted by HDT to build the engines they use in the M1030s. DieselBike.net - Military Production Diesel Motorcycles That's an old article from 05 also. Also on the link you posted I found this on the bottom Quote:
I can understand though as from what I've heard HDT has been flooded with orders for the military and IMO they come before us. The F1 website F1 Engineering - Pro-Race Design, Engineering & Development I can't find anything on their website about anything to do with the KLR other than a billet brake pedal mount. Here is a link to HDT's press page and as you can tell most of the stuff on there is 2005 and older http://www.dieselmotorcycles.com/press.htm
