I need to take the advanced course. I took the beg. course nearly 7 years ago but any training is good training. Right now I practice quick stops, swerves and such in parking lots to the best of my ability on a regular basis.

LOL. We do an annual "Safety Rodeo" here on MCAS New River that occurs around MAy time frame just starte two years ago. We shutdown one runway and most of the taxiways to do it.

You work on Prowlers?

Scraping sidestand = buy a bike that is actually made to turn.

I see so many sport bike riders riding on the arch of their foot on the pegs. As soon as i see that I know they shouldn't be on the bike in the first place.

It's a one day coarse, the first half is classroom work, books and videos, the second half is on the tarmac riding thru cones and panic braking ,etc on your own bike. Good refresher coarse.

I didn't find mine hard, it was just hot as hell that day and everyone who had air cooled bikes were overheating, it was pretty funny.

I'm also going to take the Dirt Bike course soon now that I own a dual sport bike. I have like zero experience in the dirt so hopefully it will be able to teach me a thing or two.

I even tried to get signed up for the MILMO course over on Camp Johnson, but since my Unit really dosen't have a need for personell that can operate the M1030 I pretty much got told "tough ****" LOL.

But I may have found a way around that with our "Mandotory Motorcycle Club" thing. I'm in the middle of working something out with the course instructors there to get the dirt bike guys in the unit access to their training areas.
