Yeah, I am lucky to work for a company like this. They not only provide us lunch once in a while, but also: - coffee pot w/ Starbucks or Folgers brewed daily and use of a microwave - refrigerator stocked w/ soda/tea, spring water, cheese, yogurt, fruit, misc condiments, and creamer for coffee - cabinets stocked w/ chips, crackers, cup-o-soup, nuts, cookies, etc. - candy dishes stocked with Hershey's kisses and/or M&M's, Werther's, etc. - a cake for special occasions and your birthday. - profit-sharing-based Christmas bonus, plus a little present from "the guys" (usually a gift certificate to the local mall). - relaxed dress code, ability to play music at desk, and sometimes personal use of copier/printers (w/ permission). - ability to hang out on XDtalk off and on all day.... I've never worked for a company like this. And I wouldn't ever want to leave and go somewhere else. Plus, I get paid to learn my hobby (GIS), and go to CAD/GIS conferences once a year. And I get paid training on any new software.

yea its pretty chinese unless you are in the business... when im conversating with people, and they ask what I do for a living, explaining could be a bit tough, but use highways as my example.. a ds3 is a highway with 28 lanes (each lane being a T1)... each T1 holds 24 phone calls, if you are sending calls across it.. if its data, thats a different story... so a DS3 holds quite a bit capacity wise, when they go down over here everyone gets nervous making my job more stressful, the spotlight is on me to bring it back up.(if the prob is on our side) an optical circuit (OC4 with that being said, Ill take another TOTP |
