I own "Coordinated Creativity by DPM" which is my free-lance CADD business (a sole proprietership) offering the following professional services: CAD Drawings (AutoCAD, Map 5, ADT, etc) GIS Mapping (maps, diagrams, data, etc) CAD Standards Digital Photography Image Scanning/Editing Graphic Design Scaled Model Building (chipboard, museum board, wood, etc) My educational background is rooted in the field of architecture. I attended Stevens State Tech and received an Associate's degree (AST) in Architectural Drafting Technology. I then transferred to Temple University's Architecture Program and received a Bachelor's degree (B. Arch). After college, I began my architectural career as an Architectural Intern at a local architecture firm, and over the years have increased my knowledge and productivity in AutoCAD. My past experience includes using plain AutoCAD or Architectural Desktop in an engineering and architectural environment. CADD projects would range from small residential additions to office buildings to schools and correctional facilities. I've done on-site surveys, as-built drawings, tenant fitout drawings, design drawings, and construction drawings. I've also written CAD standards, given small AutoCAD seminars, and built many scaled presentation models. Currently, I'm employed fulltime in an engineering firm as their CADD Technician, providing CAD support for their projects. I have also introduced GIS to the firm and we now use GIS on almost every project. Whether it's a property ownership inquiry, site investigation/analysis, a regional transportation question, or just an aerial photograph to show a client, GIS and CAD are involved together in harmony. I've created CAD drawings, report figures and diagrams, slide show presentations, and even wall-sized maps. In addition to AutoCAD, I am also relatively well-versed in Microsoft Office products, as well as Adobe Photoshop. For my side business, I typically work for architects and interior designers (or anyone else who needs additional CAD services). The majority of my work comes from these types of clients, but I am able to work with anyone that might have a CAD project, a GIS need (like my Karma prizes), or some other task. even if it's not on my "list" feel free to contact me and ask about anything. A small part of my business license also allows me to sell products via "retail." So, since I like to bake, I sometimes sell baked goods to friends, coworkers, and other acquaintances. A local winery sells my bread from time to time (during special events). If you're relatively local to me, I could hook you up w/ some yummies (or ship you something less fragile, like cookies). I do have a menu available if anyone is interested. (Keep in mind that CAD jobs take precedence over baking).... Thanks for asking. I hope this answers your question. And I hope to do business with someone sometime!

Hey Dave, That's cool what you do. I have a BS in Technical Illustration and Graphic Design - Don't use it or work in the field. Didn't want to move to where the work was.

Went shooting this afternoon.
I took my S&W 1911 (w/laser grips), Kahr P9, Walther P22, and S&W Model 66. I put about 75 rounds through each except for the 22...hit maybe a skosch over 100 through it. I shot a buddies Sig P229 (40 S&W) and LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I gotta get my hands on one of them babies! I was supposed to take my new boss, but he called and backed out saying he had to much going. Oh well, I spent nearly 2 hours at the range when I could/should have been at work. I see my home town of Denver is supposed to get a foot to two feet of snow...we are stuck in a winter heat wave of 80-82 degrees and rain nearly every day...sheesh, winter in the sub-tropics!

Happy to hear you had a good time. The power was out for four straight days in Washington. No shooting for me.

Food, guns, weather, what happened over the weekend...
Those are only a few subjects this thread has touched. (The only few my tired mind can remeber.) |
