I am kind of excited we are going to be hitting 500 pages soon. What should we do to celebrate?

Uhhh, Dave_in_delaware is my new hero! The last time I spent the day in bed naked...I was breaking a 103 degree fever and NO ONE was coming near me!

Even if the kids weren't always hanging around the house, I can't imagine talking Mrs. So Flo into that under any circumstances any more!

Any ideas - like all of us spending our hard earned much and shooting up a buch of ammo?

Good question on the celebration...we better decide quickly since we are racing up on 500!

I'll start thinking of a good way to celebrate.

Well, hopefully my fiancee won't read this post (she's a member, you know..), but luckily for me, she drops hints here and there for gift ideas all the time, and doesn't even know it, which makes my life easier, too....

Do you know what her hobbies or "interests" are? Go with something related to those... Give us something to go on here, since we don't know what she likes, then maybe we can suggest something.

Off the top of my head, without having any idea about her interests....

- Bath & Body Works lotion, shower gel, cream, etc etc etc.... you can't go wrong with anything from this kind of store.

- Coffee/tea/etc from her favorite place to get that sort of thing. My fiancee loves Dunkin' Donuts coffee, so I get her a bag of ground coffee so she can enjoy it at home....

- Calendar with her fav animal/place/thing on it. Everyone can use at least one calendar.

- A little nick-nack of something she likes, you know a "thing" that can sit around and collect dust, but she likes it....

- something YOU made or thought of. This is probably the best gift of all. It shows you that YOU can come up w/ something clever. Make her some homemade wine (not enough time before Xmas, but maybe next year), bake her her fav dessert, make her Xmas card and put YOUR heartfelt words in it, take her on a weekend getaway somewhere and have a nice romantic dinner somewhere and stay in a nice hotel.... you get the idea.

Good luck!! Give us more input and maybe we can help you think of something. (And make sure she doesn't read this thread! LOL....)

Those are quality days. I remember years ago doing that when there was a snowstorm, watching the Starwars movies, eating good stuff and enjoying the "Circus"

Thanks man... I dunno about "hero" status... but I do recommend doing that w/ your spouse/significant other semi-regularly. It's all about quality time. And sparking (or re-sparking) the romance... and of course the "stress relief" is a good thing, too.

Aww, man. I'm sorry to hear that. We only get to do that on certain weekends, like when my kids AREN'T with me that weekend. Luckily I don't have to "talk" my fiancee into any of it. She "plays" along just fine....

Thanks, but I can't take any credit here....

I'm just a VERY lucky man to have found someone like my fiancee, who enjoys doing that sort of stuff, who I can be myself around, who enjoys the same things that I do, yet has enough differences to make life interesting.... I'm lucky to have found someone who loves me as much as I love her. She's the perfect combination of beauty, intellect, attitude, personality, and (a Gentleman never tells...). We complement each other just perfectly. She's one-of-a-kind, and I'm lucky to have her in my life, forever.....

My only complaint about her is that she can outshoot me on my best day at the range.... But that's a good thing.
