Well, never got the lawn mown...I did survive the mall...I did find a Christmas tree...we did get it decorated...and I managed to see most of the second Cops tonight (It was a repeat, but always good...).

Anyone here ever work retail?

I am considering buying a pool supply company and have never worked a day or retail in my life.

Actually, the pool store is a stepping stone to starting another business that I do not have time to start working my real job.

I want to start a contractor referral service...say you are a homeowner that needs your kitchen renovated or even just your sprinkler system worked on.
You call me and I provide an immediate response contractor (for emergency work) or several contractors to bid on the job if it is larger in scale.

This service is free to the homeowner and I take my override from the work the contractor performs.

Thoughts?

That sounds like a great idea.

Although it seems like you'd need to have a really broad client base to get it working well.
