As far as I'm concerned they can have Fathers day, just leave me Thanksgiving.
The women will be putting the finishing touches on the meal in the kitchen, while all the men are outside frying up the turkeys, drinking beer, and telling lies about hunting. We'll all talk about the first day of rifle season starting the mon after thanksgiving and how much the game commission is screwing up the deer population. Then when everythings ready we'll all sit down to the dinner table and dig in; not just to the turkey, but all the things that you only get once a year cause the family's spread out. Homemade noodles, stuffing, pies,etc... And every aunt, grandmother, wife, and mother has that one special thing that they make better than anyone on earth. And afterward while the women are doing the dishes and catching up on the town gossip, the men settle in to watch football. Aside from the look on my kids face on Chirstmas morning, thanksgiving is my favorite day of the year.
