Mornin' I just took 2 bucks into the "chop shop" this morning. Had to wait for 3 cattle to be off-loaded from a trailer. That only too about an hour... stubborn bastards. I'm takin' the day off of work since I've got a bunch of stuff to get caught up on around the homestead. I think I may have to go do some SKS shooting this afternoon too! It's been too long since I've done that (refinished the stock finally).

Happy lunch time...

West Palm Beach Florida temp this morning was 41 degrees...the record low was 38...tonight's record low is 41 and they way we'll beat that.

Dammit, it is too early in the winter to be this cold this far south! Of course, the weekend is supposed to be back up in the low 80's!

What's everyone's plans for Thanksgiving?

We're staying home...our closest relative lives some 1500 miles away. Most of the time that is a very nice arrangement...not so much around the holidays.

Our menu is:

Roasted turkey
homemade cranberry dressing
apple/sage stuffing
green bean cassarole (using fresh blanced green beans, no canned stuff)
mashed potatoes
turkey gravy with homemade noodles in it (yes, a double starch...family tradition, must be a midwest thing.)
light rolls
derby pie (mmm, chocolate and pecans...)
pumpkin pie
wine
beer
football
intermittent naps
