I know what you mean. In my former job I was getting 7 to 8 percent a year raises. then I got promoted only got a 2 percent raise. After the promotion I only received 2 to 3 percent a year. Plus got treated like crap. Because people in my new job never quit.

Allstop...I ran a restaurant for a little over a year. Had a hard time getting servers to come into work following a good night of tips. Servers spend their money as fast as they make it. The only group of people I know who can have a good night, and be broke the next day.

Have you ever heard of this website? www.stainedaprons.com.....if not you need to check it out.

LOL your welcome

Although my parents were each a bit peeved when I got passed over for promotion the first(well second actually, but the chief was screwing the first one. He admitted to that) time because the other guy worked days so he was more visible than me on 3rd shift. The chief(who has been quietly shoved into a corner- for embezzling, and he's the one who was screwing female employees) he actually told my dad that the other guy got promoted because he was on days... Not the smartest move. But oh well.

Thankfully we have another chief(well 2 now and both are police officers) that has a good head on his shoulders.

I just blows my mind when a server or bartender gets off work and sits down at the bar and spends most of there tip money.

I wish I got tips at my job. Other than the usual "Don't run naked in a thunder storm." tips. I knew that one after the first bolt hit.

I got to admit tips are nice sometimes. I bartend on Monday and Wednesday nights and I clear between 400 and 500 bucks for the two nights combined.

The ones that worked for me would finish up, and then hit the local nightclub, and stay till closing.

Nice. But sadly I don't think I'd get tips at my job anyways. Security guards are disliked almost as much as police officers are. And cause we can't exactly do anything longterm to someone theirs less consequences for them. Oh well.
