Gents, I think I'll sign off for the night.

I am going to make a trip up to Gander Mountain before I commit to the Ruger, but I'm thinking if he'll back out the FFL transfer fee, that'll put the actual purchase price at around $450-$470-ish. Gander might have the perfect rifle, then all bets are off.

If you think I'm making a major mistake, please PM me and smack me about.

I ate leftovers...they were tasty...spicy garlic beef stir fry I made with mushrooms, carrots, onions, bean sprouts, and yellow pepper with sesame seeds sprinkled over the mix and all of that over brown rice. A little low sodium soy sauce and I was set.
