The wife prefers the look of the sport bikes, but she understands that I don't want one of those as my first bike.

Plus you can take a dual sport off road too! I hit some nasty trails yesterday, and when I was done I rode home!

I'm completely hooked! I'm calling the landlord tomorrow to see if I can park it behind the house, he lives next door. I don't have anywhere off street to park. I think he can probably manage 6-8 square feet for me to put a bike.

What's maintenance like on them? Any tougher than doing the regular stuff on a car/Jeep?

Best of luck! You can also leave it in the street, lock it to a light pole or your Jeep.

Less than a car, or jeep, these engines are so simple and plain, so little to go wrong.

Oil every 5K miles or so, plugs at 10K, not much else needed.
