Yea, I know not to many soccer fans out there but after living in Central America for 6 years you kind of have to learn to appreciate the only sport that is played there...

it is funny that soccer hasn't taken off more than it has here in the states. I played soccer from elementary school through early high school...so pretty much all of the 70's!

You'd think that having had a foot hold here in our country for that long, it would be bigger!

Yea, it seems as though the MLS is trying to change that, offering more to the top players to come here, but the prestige of Europe is to hard for them to leave... They really are two different levels of soccer (I saw a double header: 1st game between two teams from the MLS and the 2nd a team from Mexico and a team from Spain; the difference was extremely obvious, almost like watching Highschool and then Professional)
