Philthydelphia isn't filthy?? You must only go to the "pretty" parts. Because when I was there for a few years, I saw trash all over the streets and sidewalks. Maybe they've cleaned up a little...

Me being a tourist...and that's the first "big" city I've been to. I didn't feel the need to go into the slummy parts. Every city has those places. Parkersburg (where I live) is very small compared to Philly. I live in the worst possible neighborhood in Parkersburg. 2 murders on my street last year. One was 3 houses over from mine. Someone burned down a guys home with a Molotov cocktail while he was in it. I didn't even know it happened until morning. That could have very easily been my house! If I would have turned on my security camera that night I would have caught the whole thing on video and thos people could be behind bars today.

Thanks for the backup Dave, I was thinking there was something wrong with me.

Last time I was in NY I was amazed by how clean it was. The time before that I was there when I was still in Jr./Sr. High and it was like NY was pictured in old Charles Bronson movies. I've been to Boston, LA, and Chicago and few other major cities and they seem to be much cleaner than Philadelphia.
