GOOD MORNING LADIES!!!!

I hear about the sleep # bed like all day at work. I listen to evil talk radio and for about 6 hours I hear thats all I hear. I went to try one out at a store...DAAAANNNNGGGGG!!!! I got middle of the line queen size and I felt my wallet starting to float out of my pocket. $2300 with pillows and stuff. 100 bucks for a pillow!? I got to take the pillow home that day, but the matress had to be shipped. With just this pillow I am sleeping better. I think it's going to be well worth the money.

good morning fellow HS/XD owners....

We got a dusting of snow last night. Almost 3/4" Wow. I'm surprised Delaware didn't shut down for the day. Pssh.

I had gotten up w/ the help of my alarm this morning, looked outside, and saw the snow. So I turned the radio on to listen to SnowWatch for any possible delays in my kids' school. Sure enough, it was on the radio. But it was CLOSED not delayed. I'm like "ok, whatever" and crawled back into bed for a while. [normally I'd get up and meet my Ex at the daycare a few blocks away to pick up my girls to take them to school]. Well, I get a call about 7:25 from the Ex. She was rear-ended and is running late, and she's cold, blah blah... I said "it's ok, I'm still in bed, but are the kids ok?" ... They were fine.

She apparently got finished w/ the accident stuff and got to the daycare to find me not there waiting for her. She calls again: "Where are you!?" I told her "I told you I'm in bed. I figured you could handle dropping all the kids off at the daycare by yourself." Then she asks "What do you mean? The girls don't have school?" By now I'm snickering inside: "Don't you listen to the radio at all? Their school is closed today." And of course she immediately doubts me "Are you sure?" LOL. "Yeah, I heard it mentioned three times so far this morning." And she counters with "I was listening to the radio, too, and I never heard their school mentioned. I guess the girls will have to spend the day in their school uniforms." Um, yeah, apparently. DUH!

I just think to myself "Obviously you're listening to the station that the school DOESN'T call in to for a delay/cancellation!!" but I had to refrain from continuing the conversation. Because frankly, I hate hearing her voice. I don't want to hear it any longer than I have to. So all I say is "Oh, well.... I think you need to get to work, so bye bye."



As much as I can't stand my Ex, I have to admit she's always good for one thing: a good laugh. I can't believe she didn't know the school was closed today. But oh well. And some of the crap that comes out of her mouth is priceless. And her brain just works totally different than everyone else's - you just have to look at her and shake your head in disbelief over some of the things she does/believes/says. I should write a book.

Anyway, it's a slow day so far at work. I'm going to attempt to NOT slip into a boredom coma. Wish me luck. LOL...

Got 6" of fresh snow last night, only took me 1 hour to get home from work (usually 20 minutes) and a half hour to get to work this morning.

We had about 3 inches of snow on the ground this morning. School was cancelled and I slid my way to work where I am sitting now with nothing to do. Just like Monday and Tuesday. I guess no one wants to call in miss utility tickets when it's only 8 degrees outside. Now I just have to wait for water mains to start bursting and then maybe one will be close enough to the fiber that I will actually have to do something. Not likely.

Glad to hear your daughters and X wasnt injured..
enjoy your day as well, we just got a light, very light dusting which the wind blew off as soon as I started driving... didnt stop the idiot drivers though, traffic was backed up for miles..
