Linux Users...

I want to get into the game a bit, what is out there that works well, and the learning curve isn't too steep? I am an AIX and Solaris SA, so I can understand some, but I am not looking into learning a whole new OS.

Currently using Suse, have used Fedora and Slackware before that. Works good for desktop and server have hear good stuff about Ubutu. Really depends on what you're going to use it for.

I suggest ubuntu as well but if you are a unix admin you wont have to do much work to learn the new os regardless of what you choose

+1

If you're desktop/notebook is beefy enough, you can always run a virtual copy of it (i.e. VMWare).

I run Suse with KDE gui. The install and operation are pretty idiot proof although I can't seem to get the online update working right in v 10.2. it worked fine for me in 10.0.
