I completely agree, that you really have to want this. Otherwise it won't happen. I've been using Cope for over 26 yrs. I really wish that I can build the desire to quit. GOOD LUCK!

Well its been 2 days and i have had two dips, last night and this morning.WooHoo! I can honestly say today was easier than yesterday.I am going to try and keep it cold turkey but if it gets to overwhelming and gives me a headache like yesterday im gonna take one.I think if i keep it to a bare minimum it will get easier as time passes. Its been a looooong time since this ole boy had 2 dips in 48 hrs.

I quit 3 years ago.

Empty the can, wash it and keep it filled with Altoids! I literally ate enough of them that the lining of my mouth peeled out. But it worked. I was dipping 3 cans a day of Copenhagen. I also had another incentive. My then 18 month old son leaned over and spit in the garbage can with me. I started when I was 9 and quit at 36.

Good Luck. Just remember this. The urge you have for a dip is strong but if you take that first dip all the days of fighting that urge were for nothing. You control your urges, they don't control you.

God Bless,

As a former smoker ( a little chew every now and then ) the only thing that worked for me was cold turkey. If you can make the first week, you got it made.

I always joked: "It is easy to quit, I've done it lots of times" Hardly anyone gets it tho.

It is all about will power man. If you truely want to quit for your own reasons you will. If you are doing it because others are pressuring you then you will probably fail! I quit smoking and dipping at the same time cold turkey. This is after 7 years of both. Good luck brother!

God Bless,
You started at 9? Jesus.

I've tried it, it's ok, but only when I drink ... then I don't drink enough to justify buying a can, I smoke while I drink instead

Good luck and keep at it.I smoked for 38 years and 2-3 packs a day and On June 22 2004 I quit smoking just so they could crack my chest open and do some pluming work only to find out that one was plugged 100% one at 90% and another at 75% there still not sure why I didnt have a heart attack the 90% and the 75% they were able to bypass but the 100% they could not so they burned 10 holes in my heart with a lazer to help it grow more arteries.I never had hight cholesterol it has always been between 165 and 178 but bad hearts did run in the family.SO if I can stop smoking you can stop chewing...DON'T GIVE UP always keep trying...
YOU CAN DO IT!!!

G McBride I feel for ya man

The bad thing is I still want one..o well I dont smoke no more
