Lot of Good the Cops Did here

"A Central Florida woman whose 17-year-old daughter was killed in a murder-suicide apparently committed by her ex-boyfriend said the teen was told by police to stop calling for help or she'd be arrested."

Unbelievable...those involved should be charged as accessories.

Honestly, it seems like allot of you enjoy complaining about the police force. I understand that they make mistakes, and yes they should be punished for doing so. But do you ever go looking for the good stories about law enforcement? Or do you just listen to the media 24 hours a day.

It's not really LEO bashing, although it comes across that way (although in this case I think some is deserved). It's more an emphasis of why we all (at least most who do) choose to carry or have HD weapons. They can't usually get there in time to protect you when you need it. Just in this case, even months of warnings to the LEO did no good.

As an ex-leo I have to chime in here. Most cops are lazy and think everyone is below them and that they are above the law. I used to think all those movies with the cops turning out to be the real bad guys were just made up. Now I know better. I don't trust cops and I recommend no one else trust cops. It's a power trip for most of them. It's true, most cops got beat up regularly in the back of the school bus as children. And keep this in mind: Cops come AFTER the crime has been commited. You are your first line of defense! Happy defending!
How's that for cop bashing?

It really sad that the very individuals we are conditioned to trust are becoming more like those we are taught not to trust. It pains me to admit that Police Officers across the nation are becoming increasingly more akin to worthless scumbags as the days pass. If this offends, sorry its the truth. What use to be the exception of yesteryear is becoming more of the norm.

The problem is we have a lot of police officers, and very few cops.

I do find this amusing though.
