I had blocked my wife in so she took my car (6 spd Sentra Spec-V) to a friend's house. I forgot that this friends driveway is VERY steep. My car was lowered 2" with a body kit on it. She left the car was fine, she came back and the bumper was dangling off on one side. And of course it was my fault because I blocked her and also I didnt tell her not to go into the driveway.

I see a trend of her blaming him. I hope this will serve as a reminder to never let my girlfriend drive my car. I like my Taurus SHO and would like to hang on to it for a while longer. Sometimes squatter logic has no logic at all, esp when dealing with cars. There are a few out there but they are few and far between. Of course it comes from being trained that daddy's little girl can do no wrong. Sorry, ladies you are, contrary to your own belief. not perfect and everything is not our fault.
I hope my g/f doesn't see this, I'll wake up dead.

My wife decided to try and reverse out of our driveway without using mirrors- why is beyond me. Well for some reason she didn't feel high enough up in her expedition so she rolled it up the fender of my accord!!! Yep, it was my fault somehow as well!!!

When my EX-wife (yes, ex) and I were dating I had a '83 Buick Regal T-Type with a Grand National engine, brand new paint job, and new Goodyear Eagle GT white letter tires. While she was at work on a Saturday left her my car and took her '83 Honda Prelude back to my place to change oil and do a tune-up on it. We met at church the next morning. She was late and had to park my car on the street. Walking out the door after church, I could immediately see that my car was sitting funny and asked her if it had a flat tire. "NO, it must have one tire in that sewer drain." It was flat. She hit the curb while parking it, destroying the tire AND the rim.
About a year later she came home one time saying "who knew?" This was about 3 weeks after I had given in to her constant begging and taught her how to spin her tires in her Prelude. She would often come home telling me stories of her tire spinning and racing others from red lights, all proud of herself. This time, her "who knew?" was about a motorcycle. She was at a red light and thought that the guy next to her on a rice rocket was too cockey on his shiney orange bike so she spun her tires on the green light. As she was trying to find second gear, he threw his two-wheeler into a wheelee and left her alone to change radio stations and scratch her head. Her reasoning ~ "my car has a bigger engine that that little bike does."

My wife was driving into the driveway one night when we had an ice storm and the driveway was very slippery. She slowed down to a very slow speed but our driveway is sloped and despite her care, she still slid right into the back of the family minivan. That collision pushed the minivan into the back of my car which was parked in front of the van. That pushed my car into the tongue of the boat which was stored in the driveway for the winter. She managed to damage all four vehicles in one fell swoop.
I've never let her live that one down.

There was the time the ex was driving down the highway and the check engine light came on so she pulled over opened the hood (her words) the engine was there so she got back in and keep driving with steam coming out from under the hood. Got so hot that the motor locked up she let it cool down to where it would start again so she started driving again! Did this 2 more times before it wouldn't start again so she called me to ask me what she should do!
Then there is the time she took my classic MG out for drive, she didn't like to drive it. She noticed that the oil pressure gage had dropped to zero and the engine started to make a funny noise. She keep on going down the road to the point that it wouldn't go no more. The cam, 2 pistons and block became one. Did I tell you she is my EX!

My last one............
Waaay back when, we had a 65 Chevelle with a 283. Anyway, my wife goes to visit her folks, about 15 miles away. I'm in the yard doing something, and I hear a horrible hammering sound. It gets louder & louder, & a minute or 2 later, she pulls into the driveway. One of the rockers had worn through - valve lash way too tight - and moved so the pushrod could hammer on the valve cover. She said it happened about 10 miles from home, "But I was careful; I didn't drive over 40"!!! I replaced the rocker & pushrod, and the car ran fine for quite a few more years. Those 283's were tough! |

My wife and I when we were in college were going to my parents house 4.5 hour drive for the summer. As we approach the road my house is on there is a four way stop. I stop my wife stopped by rear ending me. I had to fix both vehicles. The worst part is I always warn her about that stop sign everytime we go to my parents house.
