Hugh Hewitt aired some clips from this speech from Michelle Obama about her husband.

Some of the insights provide a rarely heard aspect of Democratic politics.

Please give it a listen (it's only 10 minutes long).

"before we can work on the problems we have to fix our souls..."

This just confirms my long held theory that to those on the far-left politics is their religion. i.e. They believe they'll leave their mark on the world through politics, while everyone else believes the best way they can leave a mark on the world is by helping and changing people.

"The only person in this race that has a chance to heal this nation..."

"Barack worked as a community organizer in some of the toughest neighborhoods on the south side of Chicago. Helping young mothers find their voice and their power... There is no one else in this race that can claim that kind of commitment to people on the ground, no one."

So because Barack worked as a community organizer in a tough neighborhood in Chicago, he's the only one that can claim a commitment to the average guy living in America?

Yeah, it's not like any of the other candidates have ever put their lives on the line by serving in the military?

"Barack will never allow you to go back to your lives as usual."

The only thing that she says that makes sense is that "change is hard... it doesn't happen from the top down... we get change because folks from the grassroots up decide they are sick and tired of others telling them how their lives will be...."

Too bad this contradicts the Democratic party platform of passing more and more legislation to tell you how you can live your life.

I think that guest was right on the money. Never heard such a contrictadory speech in my life. Apparently Barack is all about personal empowerment of the people with the Government showing them exactly and precisely how that empowerment must happen. Whoa.
