Bill, I read the description and the comments, but none say what the size of the light is or whether either has a pocket clip on it. The description of the knife says it has a belt clip, but is that the same as one that clips onto the pants pocket.

So, do you know the length of the flashlight, do both have the pocket clip and the is the light an led. Thanks.

the $92 one is apparently what the FBI gives there agents when the graduate from quantico.

The Z2 is the crafty veteran partner of all new FBI agents because it's issued to them upon graduation from the Academy at Quantico. It's the choice of the FBI, Secret Service and U.S. Marshals because no other flashlight compares in rugged, dependable construction and bright, flawless beam. Powered by two 3-volt lithium batteries, the Xenon lamp assembly produces 65 lumens of intense white light. A patented rubber grip ring is recessed where your fingers meet the light for an unfailing hold in any condition, and the precisely machined aluminum body has a durable, shiny bright black finish. Nearly unbreakable Pyrex® lens. Lanyard included.
Length: 5.1".
Weight: 4.8 oz.

Bill,

Thanks for the heads up. I bought three of these lights. I don't have a Surefire or other premium light for comparison, but they seem awfully bright to me. I have one in my car, one in my wife's car, and one in the nightstand next to my XD45.

Also, the knife that comes with the flashlight is nothing to sneeze at. Again, I'm no knife aficianado, but it seems to be high quality and it does have a pocket clip.

My brother bought a Brinkman 65 lumen lithuim flashlight from Wal Mart for 20 bucks. It is esentially a Surefire G2 copy and seems very well made for the money.

Another good choice if you don't want to spend another 10 bucks for a Surefire.

Knowing my thrifty/cheap-ass nature...if I had seen these Brinkmans first...I probably would not have spent extra for the Surefire G2 and G3s! LOL

I know Cabelas # by heart. 100% satisfaction guarantee, and they'll pay return shipping. On small items like this, there's a chance they'll tell you to throw it out and they'll but a credit back on your charge card- not worth their time and postage to handle a return- at least with all the stuff I've bought there, they've done it for me.

Cabelas has customer reviews on the site (38 and I stopped when all I read were generally positive. It's not a $100 light and $100 knife for $20, but I'd buy it if I needed one.
