Got OK for 2nd gun

I am going to get the Kahr CW9. It is very thin and light for the times when my XD9 service is too much. I have been told that it is a great gun. I am going to get it from Bud's for $388.00. I am getting a safe and 2 spare mags too. If I spend $500+ I get 1 year no interest. So the wife said no problem.
I am very pumped.

I cannot

personally say that that is a good idea(the kahr cw9) My brother and his live in GF bought a pair of them, and I can tell you one thing. Those guns are not the most reliable things made.

At this point they have replaced both guns with different brands of guns, and are sending the kahrs back to have the frames replaced, so that they can sell them to the gun store.

I shot both of these guns and they were fun at the range, but after witnessing the problems and the abnormal frame wear, I would say that these should not be considered for carry.

Oh yeaah, my brother and I have the same philosiphy on gun cleaning. If you shoot it you need to clean it, so these guns were not neglected at all.

They wont let you finance the safe and mags only the gun itself. The Kahr is a great gun, the only problem to watch for is wandering pins on the polymer framed guns. Not every one does it but some do. Sounds like a reason to get another gun though.

Did he take any pictures of the abnormal wear, if so please post them. My steel framed K40 has been perfect function wise and a friends CW 40 has also worked flawlessly.

I will have him email me the pics and get them up on here for you. I personally looked at these guns the other day and I tell you that the slide rails in the frame are crap. the recoil ass'ly impacts a plastic wall on the frame and basically self destructs. this pair of cw9's were bought a month apart, and there is aprox 2-300 guns manufactured in between them. They were meticulously maintained after each range trip and they both had approx 1500 - 2000 rounds through them iirc. I guarantee that I will never own one of these p.o.s. guns. I have more faith in my Hi-Point c-9 than I would ever have in a Kahr.

In many cases, Yup, they will. Push hard enough and you can be surprised by the reaction.
