Well, used to own two .40's the Service and the Sub, but sold them and now I own a Sig too. I may go ahead and buy another .40sc later on. Nothing negative at all about the XD. I LOVE this site and still visit several times a day.

One I build my CAspian Recon Rail 1911 it will likely replace my XD-40 Service as my primary carry gun. If not the Recon Rail maybe a light weight 1911. Nothing wrong with my XD, just that I've discovered that nothing is as accurate as a 1911 in my hands.
But I''m not getting rid of my XD. Heck I'll be adding other firearms to the collection (Kel-tek, Sig, HK, Hi-power... and on and on and on...). |

Keeping the XD
I have bought and sold a number of handguns. Some because they weren't Scottish, some because I did not shoot them, and some because they were funding another purchase (I am currently selling my first legally purchased handgun 21st birthday self-present back in '88 to fund a Taurus pt-140 mil-pro and some other stuff).
I too like the fact that the XD shot so well right out of the box. I found that I actually shot better weak-hand. The XD is currently my daily possesion/carry, but I like carrying my pt-145. Besides, it is just a sweet handgun to shoot. pt
