Where I live seconds count when the cops are 30 mins away, unless MD has some agreement going with the local cops in PA, in which case they may get here in 10 mins or less.
Otherwise the local cops just chase people with their helicoptors after the person freaks out at civilians chasing them on backroads, and brandish a rifle. I need to find the local gosspiers and find out more about what that was all about. Suppossedly the guy being chased was looking in a window of a building where there's a sign about buying bison meat, but the building was closed at the time. Then some men chased the guy in their vehicle after he ran to his car. Then they pursued him down a bunch of backroads and he stopped at one point and brandished a rifle, then the cop helicoptor was overhead. Either the guy looking in the window was a prowler or he was innocent and these other guys scared him and when they kept following him he got scared for his life. If he was a prowler, then you see citizen policing due to cops taking a while to show up. Oh yeah and if seconds count over the PA line, I am sure there will be some ccw volunteers, seems like every law abiding good man over 21 has a ccw in PA. Makes me wonder what the scene would look like on a busy saturday at the super walmart if some criminal started shooting inside there. Would the nervous guy eating nachos help out too?
