Valor's attorneys argued that the company cannot be considered negligent if someone uses one of its guns for a crime. But Grunow's attorneys said federal officials had told Valor for years that its .25-caliber Raven handgun was frequently used in crimes and that the company had a legal responsibility to make the weapons safer.
Sheesh the madness never ends. I'm glad the courts did the right thing. I feel sorry for the poor woman but she is just looking for money in the wrong place.

So Brazill only gets 28 years for cold blooded murder? CA better look out. I think Florida might be overtaking California as the nuttiest state in the nation. How much time will Brazill have to serve? 14 years? Less?

In the Jessica Lunsford case in FL you have the DA refusing to press charges against John Couey's inbred, drug using roomates. Hell, one of those FL coneheads will probably give Gouey the key to the city the way things are going. It seems like FL is constantly in the news for some kind of foul up or another.

Sorry for the rant but after hearing what happened to Jessica Lunsford, I'm really upset. If someone would have done that to one of my girls, wild horses couldn't have kept me away from the murderer, may he have an agonizing death at the hands of some of his fellow inmates. Good thing I'm not running the prison. Couey would be in the general population in a flash.

Not bad considering the kid was 13 years old when he committed the crime. If I'm not mistaken, the Santana High School shooter will get out when he's 25.

Oh. Well then, that's OK. That should be around the time the dead teacher rises from the grave. Cool. Maybe they can get together and go out for coffee.

All I'm saying is that I've seen much lighter sentences in juvenile homicide cases. I have NO SYMPATHY for this kid just cause he's 13. He should have to stay in jail just as long as his 18 year old counterparts. I'd say he needs the death sentence just like adults, but that's another discusion.

Sorry, I'm usually not such a smart ass. My wife's been out of town for two weeks looking after her dad, I miss her and I'm grumpy.

It's very sad, the crimes that young kids are commiting these days. What a waste. I'm not really in favor of the death penalty except in "exceptional circumstances". John Couey raping a little girl over several days and then burying her alive sure qualifies in my book. But, I'm also not in favor of letting this kid out of jail. Ever. What is the statistic on repeat offenders? 80% ? I think violent, repeat offenders (child molesters, rapist, murderers) should serve life under very dismal conditions. No TV, no weight rooms, no getting out of their cells. I'd laminate pictures of their victims on the wall. The experiment of reforming criminals is a failure. It's time the courts concentrate on keeping the citizens safe. I'd nominate that sheriff in AZ to run the whole program nationwide.
