I am looking for a safe place to target shoot in the woods of western washington I like indoor ranges but sometime you just want to enjoy nature. A buddy has two girls that he bought 22 rifles for and wants to teach them how to shoot but the indoor range near him will not let kids under 13 shoot there.

I appreciate any information that i can get. thanks

You are talking gravel pit kinda thing huh... Not sure exactly down that way but I am sure someone will have info for you.

Thanks for the links but i am looking for gravel pits and non ranges on public land. THere used to be a lot of places but as population grows they are getting shut down quick and also due to the people that leave all the trash behind. I used to goto green mountain in snohomish county and take out 2 55 gal bags when i left of other peoples trash

yup you would be corect any places up in your area? i am looking in the everett north area do not mind traveling an hour or two if iot is legal and safe place

It's been so long since I have shot in an area like that, I have no clue what is and is not legal anymore..
