My dreams involving guns always involve me having trouble pulling the trigger. I pull it as hard as I can, but it is very difficult to do so. When I finally do, the bullet doesn't come out.

I have had quite a few dreams about hand-to-hand combat or the occasional knife coming at me. In all of these I always kick ass and react with all of my martial arts training and quickly end the confrontation. I guess I like these ones because of the fact that at least I know I remember my training as I can even use it in my dreams.

When it comes to guns, I have only had a couple. The last one that I had was just a while ago and was very strange. In my dream, I was on duty and had to respond to a call at a campground for a disturbance. A younger officer that I work with gets there first and I see this officer talking to two guys so I start talking to another who he points at and tells me is involved. As I am talking to this guy, I look over and see the other officer with his back turned, walking away from these two guys towards his car....All of a sudden one of them raises his hand and I can clearly see a Stainless Steel Revolver in his hand. I scream "Gun" and draw my weapon. I fire 3 or 4 times and I see them all strike him high in the chest.

The other officer is ducking behind his car, we get everybody else under control and then go and cuff the guy I shot. Then of course when I go to secure the gun, it has magically disappeared. For the rest of my dream I am pissed off and am looking around for the damn gun to no avail.

I woke up in a cold sweat and was breathing like I just ran a marathon. In retrospect I guess it was a good dream because I saw the gun coming up, yelled for my partner, and was able to put 4 good shots on target...just wish I could have found that damn gun. I just still hate having those damn on-duty shooting dreams. They stick in my head for quite a few days and I just analyze them over and over.

I thought I was dreaming. My girl and I had came across about 200 pics from a bombing in 2003 in Saudi a few days before this happend.

We are in bed sleeping and she wakes me up saying she heard gun fire this was my worst fear and alot of bad dreams. Im reaching around looking for my gun, but im in saudi and cant have a gun. Damn civ laws. Well I walk outside and hear them again, im still thinking it was from an AK since that is about all they have over there. I wait a little while longer and hear this huge boom, I look up and its a damn firework like the 4th of July ones. None of my coworkers told me about the wedding place right outside of the American compound and these guys were celebrating a wedding. I was pissed for a few min and then had to laugh at myself for being so damn scared.

I guess the malfunctions thing is totally normal for everyone- yes I too have them- alot. I have many many dreams and when I awaken can recall at least the last one , but most aren't interesting enough to remember for long. I do recall that I get alot of gun malfunctions though when I have gun dreams, also the shooting someone and its like they are bulletproof theme.

Some dreams I have had have inspired elaborate stories in my head, but dammit I just can't function to write any of them anymore.

Happens every time
WTH - are you seeing my dreams? That is what happens in mine - usually it is my M1911 and for some reason the trigger pull becomes 150lbs. The BG just keeps coming closer and closer and closer......... and I cannot pull the dang trigger. Right when he gets to me, I usually wake up. I remember and am very frustrated - then check to make sure the trigger pull on my real firearm is smooth.
