Not all of Florida is a crap hole, it's just the big cities ie. Jacksonville, Orlando, and anywhere within a 100mi radius of Miami. Miami is the capitol of hell holes, it's like a microcosm of everything that is wrong with the US; crime, illegals, etc, etc, etc.

And your absolutely right about not wanting to go to Orlando, it would be very unwise to go without your CCW.

And even in the cities, if you stay out of the cities, it's not bad (I know that sounds like a contradiction...but you get my point). I lived in the Orlando area for 4.5 years, but on the east side outside the 417 loop; and sure there are problems (there are everywhere), but it's nothing like being closer to downtown.

I live in a much smaller town now, even still I carry whenever I can. I can't to/from work because of my job, but it's not a problem for me. Rest of the time I am carrying.

not all of FL is, but the main spots that most have to work in are super crappy. im starting a new job tomorrow in sanford. i have to take it due to money but sanford is well known for making me loose my mind. the good thing is when i have my XD with me, im pretty relaxed. it would be nice to move out to the sticks, but unless your a farmer/rancher or you want to work at the corner store your kinda screwed. well unless you want to drive an hour+ each way to work.

I've been in Sanford before, kind of a Spanish ghetto isn't it? At least a lot of it is.
