+1

I wanted one but then I got over it. It's something that I would add to the collection if I was using money as firewood.

As my understanding it was originally developed as a military handgun the round was designed to penetrate the body armor worn on todays battle field. Never really picked up steam though it seems.

I think some companys make some self defense ammo for it but I'm not 100 percent positive on that.

I thought the idea was to have AP capabilities in a pistol; except you can't but the AP rounds unless you're Military/LEO.
I was under the impression the Belgian military used the 5.7 round.

beat me to it.

You can still get some of the old stock but it's $$$$$$$$$ but you can't buy new stuff anymore and I think you can get pull outs to reload with.

how is the pricing on one of those?

5.7mm = .224 cal. isnt that a bit small for self-defense?

SD wasn't really the original intent of the pistol to begin with.

I think the gun it self is around 900+.
Small for self defense, maybe. But if your 9mm or .45 can't penetrate body armor then what good is it?
