VT allows anyone legally allowed to purchase a firearm to carry it openly or concealed without a permit. You can carry at age 16 there IIRC. They are one of the most lenient states in the union when it comes to firearms laws.

Wow, DC out of a population of 581,530 in 06 had a crime rate of 1,508.4 - KY during that same time with a population of 4,206,074 had a crime rate of 263.0. Glad I'm not a politician

Has anybody cross-referenced these scores with gun-related violent crime rates committed in each state?

I'd like to see that...
