Purchased a new gun!!!!

just ordered it online a few minutes ago.

Sata Jet 3000 Digital, 1.3, w/aluminum cup ( $575 shipped... a few bucks more then my XD-9mm after tax's!!!)

i purchased this for the upcoming paintjob on my personal car build.

once i paint my car it will be cleaned, and put away for storage until the next time i have to paint my own car. i have always wanted one of the "Sata Jet 3000 digital" ever since i purchased my first Sata...a Minijet 3 HVLP..which i use all the time for painting small objects like engine bays, bumpers, spoilers, wheels etc..etc..

Sata is considered "the mercedes of paint guns" and they are...they spray so good and are so balanced...the atomization is crazy with these guns!

(i have 3 other base coat/clear coat spray guns, and 2 primer guns that i use for work and misc odd jobs..not including the new 3000 digital)

so total i have 2 Sata's, 3 Devil-biss', and 1 Sharpe.

thanks for looking.

Its nice. I bet someone like me could probably do more damage with that than I could with a gun. With the gun at least I know I can hit what I am aiming at. Post pics of the car before/after.

I wanted to get into painting cars but never did. How do they compare to Devilbiss?

i have a thread on xdtalk about my build...you can search topics created by me to see it.

funny thing ive noticed....ive been painting for years...ive only had my XD-9 since dec 20th 2007, i go to the range weekly.

ive noticed that i know use trigger control on my spray guns at work haha...i dont put my finger on the trigger until im ready to shoot...it just points straight and rests against the frame of the spray gun...i thought that was kinda cool and funny.

Where does the canister hook onto that bad boy? My dad and I have done some bodywork/painting in the past, but it was on older vehicles and with cheaper equipment (I think we spent something like $100 on our spraygun). We were always happy with the results, but I assume that like anything else, the quality of top-end products is probably something that's worth the price if that's what you're into.

they are both equally awesome guns....Sata's are just my personal favorite...but i dont deny the Devil's any attention, i painted the interior of my car with the Devil-Biss

the canister screws into the top of the gun between the muzzle and the hook on the top..Sata also has a quick disconnect paint cup system, but im not into that...i like the older school screw on gravity feed cups.

Multiple caliber (nozzle) with the twist of a wrist. Yea, that's cool.
