Please don't paint all State Police with the same brush as portrayed by this post. This was some higher up political Commander that was at the heart of this crap. One of my best friends, a retired Sgt State Trooper is about as far "right" as they come. His favorite quote about concealed carry. "Would you rather be carried by six (pallbearers) or judged by 12 (jurors)."
His advice. Be discreet. Be sober. Only use it if your life is threatened. I did for a while and never felt comfortable. Now I live in Arizona, he's moving to Kentucky. Quote:

we have a very gun-friendly state....hell, it was a DEMOCRAT Governor who signed our Conceald Carry bill  about ten years ago.....Chicago sucks bung-hole, along with New Jersey when it comes to gun control.... my brother lives in the Republik of New Jersey and some good friends of mine lived in Communist Chicago in college...... hell, you have to get a permit to buy a godam' "caulking-gun" at Lowes in both those **** holes....LOL LOL
