Yerington, Nevada- Does anyone know the place?

Hey all,
I'm taking some work in Yerington and i'm wondering if anyone knows anything about the town or passed through it by chance. I'll be there for about three months, so i'd appreciate anything you could provide.
Thanks!

Yerington is a small farming community south of Carson City, Nevada. I thinks it's about 10-15 miles south of Carson, so about 50 miles south of Reno, (Rough mileage,)

Last time I was there, it was growing, but still had the small town atmoshere, with a couple of small resturants that the locals hung out in, with great food and service, and one Casino/hotel. I think it was called the Carson Valley Inn.

It's been about 15 years since I was there, so it may have changed a lot since then.

Sorry, can't help much more than that.

It's about an hour's drive from me. It's small and you will certainly run out of things to do there in 3 months. Carson City is close and so is Fallon so I suspect you'll be visiting those towns for sure. Probably Reno too. Make sure you visit Virginia City at least once while you're here just to say you went there.

If you like fishing, make sure you bring your rod(s). Nevada allows fishing all year and if you like fly fishing you are VERY close to some amazing trout rivers and lakes. Minutes away in some cases.

PM me if you want to get together to do some shooting. I'd be happy to hook up.

BTW, the Carson Valley Inn is in Minden, Nevada. About an hour away from Yerington.

Sounds like a terrific place to get abducted by a UFO.

Here is a 10-day weather forecast for the next 10 days as an idea.

When are you coming out?

We won't need a range to shoot. I have a nice Tuff-Steel target stand and 5 handguns. We can go out anywhere.

This would be a good time to organize a Northern Nevada XDTalk Shoot.

Let me know if you guys are up for something like that.
